Lovebridge makes the difference

The Milate family now feels that it can move forward autonomously after 3 years of accompaniment by the Lovebridge team and a strong relationship which has been created with their accompagnatrice (volunteer accompanying the family). There has been a complete change of life for this family living in Rose-Hill.

When Lovebridge first met the family, the father could not work because of health problems. The family of four had to rely on the meager earnings of the mother who sold cakes on Albion public beach during the weekend. The encouragement and support of their accompagnatrice and of the team have been determinant for Ms Milate who has developed her self-confidence and started to look for stable employment.

She has finally found a job as white lady at Elie & Sons and after a few months has obtained a promotion to the post of Assistant Team Leader. This has tremendously boosted her self-esteem, motivation and courage. She has other dreams and projects. She is actually following driving courses which will enable her to move up the professional ladder.

The empowerment of the Milate family demonstrates that the relational aspect and a support in the life of a family are essential in a long term accompaniment.
